ABOUT

I was born in Hong Kong and assembled in London. When I first got introduced to Fan Ho’s work, I became seriously interested and inspired by his photography skills and the stories behind his art works.

I start to delve into the magical world of street photography was I was 21, capturing invariably shoots only using film camera. My work is characterised by spacious and composed settings. Most of them are positioned, photographed only from far, and framed against a background of geometrical construction and texture.

Some say my images are melancholy. For me, black & white photography is a frame of “departure from reality”, which brings out a wilder imagination of the art piece. Audience can compose the color of the photography with their own eyes and shape the story differently every time they view it.

From symmetrical buildings to repetitive patterns, I hope to capture every nuance of an urban life in Hong Kong, as well as other fascinating destinations around the globe.
